About .com.tr
.com.tr is the extension most used by companies and brands doing business in Turkey. Since September 14, 2022, it has been managed by TRABİS, part of Turkey's Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK). A trademark or trade name certificate used to be required; today .com.tr is allocated with no documents, on a first come, first served basis.
Registrations, renewals and transfers go through accredited registrars (domain and hosting companies). A domain is registered for at least 1 and at most 5 years at a time, and the registrar must notify the holder by email at least three months before it expires.

When does an expired .com.tr domain become available?
A .com.tr domain that is not renewed stops working when it expires. For the first 60 days, you can renew it through your registrar at the regular price. If it is not renewed, it enters a 30-day deletion period during which it cannot be renewed. The domain is deleted 90 days after expiry and becomes open for registration again.
