About us
NicFollow is a free service that tracks domain expiry dates and the drop process. It is built to keep your own domains from expiring and to make sure you never miss the day a domain you want becomes available.
Why NicFollow?
An expired domain is one of the easiest problems to prevent and one of the most costly to suffer: the site goes down, email stops arriving, and if the domain cannot be recovered, someone else can register it. Registrar reminder emails often go to an old address or get overlooked. Keeping an eye on the expiry dates of domains spread across different registrars is tedious, too.
And to know when a domain you want will become available, you have to follow WHOIS records, status codes and each extension's own timeline. NicFollow does this for you and only lets you know when something changes.
How it works
- Domain data is read directly from the registries: Verisign for .com and .net, Public Interest Registry for .org, and TRABİS for .com.tr and the other .tr extensions. RDAP is used where the extension supports it, WHOIS otherwise.
- Each extension's expiry rules (grace period, redemption, deletion) are defined in the system, and the estimated release date is calculated from them.
- Tracked domains are checked more often as their expiry date gets closer. Registry query limits are always respected.
- Notifications are sent by email and Telegram 60, 30, 14, 7, 3 and 1 days before expiry, whenever the status changes and when the domain becomes available.
Our principles
- Free: Tracking up to 100 domains is free, and WHOIS lookups need no account.
- Privacy: Your personal data is never sold. The domains you track and your account details are not used for advertising. We keep visit statistics on our own server, without cookies and without storing IP addresses.
- Accurate data: Data comes from the registries' own records, not from third-party sites.
- Independence: NicFollow is not a registrar. It does not sell you domains or act on your behalf.
Who builds it?
NicFollow is built and operated by GNR Tech Yazılım ve Dijital Hizmetleri. Our servers are in Türkiye.
The articles in our Guide are based on information published by the registries and in the relevant regulations, and are updated as the rules change. If you spot a mistake, let us know.
